Four Bees Cafe in Black Canyon City

Friendly owner, good food, simple and easy place to enjoy your meal. No fancy coffees, just a place that makes you feel at home with good, solid country folk. If you leave here hungry, it's your fault. It's a place where time has stood still for nearly four decades. Awesome.

Traditional American Diner. Substantial menu selections. Huge portions. Genuine, and engaging, owner. I will be back. I hope many others will try this establishment, and tell others, so it will prosper.

You get a lot of food for your money. Owner is very friendly and gives excellent service. Support small business, eat here. Best restaurant in Black Canyon City.

No frills, come hungry. Pancakes are monster

I love Cindy and the amazing service and genuinely hearty fare. Her big breakfast (less than $10) must be at least half a pound of delicious bacon. GO in there with an appetite and an empty stomach! You'll roll out sassy!

THIS PLACE WAS HORRIBLE, the waitress was only missing the cigarette with a long ash hanging from her mouth, the food was burnt to a crisp, the coffee had more coffee grounds in it than coffee itself. I asked for lemons for my water and she brought rotten sliced lemons that were turning brown. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, it was the worst 20 dollar breakfast I've ever had... thumbs down

Great food , massive servings ! 100 % approve !!!

Gone downhill. Remember it when they served everything huge...pancakes, eggs, biscuits. Now even the coffee is stale. Tastes like yesterday's coffee reheated. Only thing not gone down is the prices.

This is a must stop for Black Canyon City! great food. guy sat down and started playing the guitar next to us, the music was appropriate and played softly so as not to be overwhelming. portions were huge

Amazing it really hasn't changed much since i was a kid i used to come out here every weekend when my grandfather's lived out here rip grandpa the staff is always friendly and the food is always always amazing you should come check it out and do the challenge of 6 pancakes in an hour they're free

Not a fan... the gravy for the biscuits and gravy was flour and water, the biscuits tasted like they had been around for days...

The restaurant is superb and roomy, the menu was delightful and the rates were very affordable. fast, effective service and very welcoming staff. Highly recommended.

The cook, waiter, owner were all the same person, Cindy. She does an awesome job! What may appear to be rudeness is just being busy. I had one of the best breakfasts ever! I would definitely go back and look forward to trying their legendary 1/2 pound burgers!

Very good but a little pricy

Get the pancake! Just one because they're huge!! This is just a small hole-in-the-wall, but the food and service has always been good. Great stop if you're headed up North.

I ate at this joint about 3 weeks ago... My first trip to AZ...Loved AZ but would not recommend that anyone eat at this place... It was nasty....Very dirty and the food was awful!!

Wow its expensive. 2 people , breakfast $26.00, but it was good. I like the owner lady in there, she was fun. Maybe we ordered the wrong stuff thats why so expensive, but if you go there look close at the prices.

The only reason I gave it 2 stars is the bacon was really good. Coffee was weak and cold. Coke was served in a glass half full. Toast was cheap thin bread.

Brought my 2 granddaughters here for breakfast Saturday (last), great place for great breakfast old fashioned biscuits gravy totally family oriented. Highly recommended if your ever in black canyon city do stop in

The bacon and eggs was tasty and abundant

Used to be the best place in Arizona to get pancakes. But it closed down, and then a new owner. Only open a couple hours a day if you're lucky, food is absolutely horrible, and I'm not sure the owner cares.

I'm a big fan of "mom and pop" places and the four bees cafe is awesome. You get big portions for your buck.

4 Bees is very good. The service is great! And their pancakes are awesome. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. Loved the young women working there. It was great.

This is a quaint place that has large portions for a great price! Their pancakes are huge & delicious!

Really nice little cafe we visited making our way to the grand canyon from Phoenix. The food was good, and the staff was really personable. I will stop by their again next time I make the trip.

Great food. Good and fair prices. Friendly service. I have been here about a dozen times, with my wife, and/or my kids, and with friends. Every time has been a good experience. Once the waitress even brought us out some home made avocado salsa as my son bragged how he likes salsa on everything. I will be back, as this is a great pit stop on our highway travels, and off road explorations. Thank you 4 Bee's.

If you want to have the biggest pancake in the world this is the place to go. The owner of this establishment is very friendly

Little mom and pop place with huge pancakes. My wife and I ordered 1 and we only ate half of it. Some of the food is family style, i.e. when you order bacon you get about half a pound. Very good, has just like momma made written all over it. Staff is friendly and attentive. Could use some updating as tables/chairs and some of their appliances are outdated, but they make you feel at home!

They have the biggest pan cakes ever ....

Not impressed!! Ordered a pancake but was not told how large it was and when the waitress brought it out it was so large it was hanging off the plate and touching the dirty table. Ordered over-medium eggs and they were slimy and raw in the middle, asked if they could just cook an egg white for my daughter and was told that was too hard to do. The bathrooms outside were dirty. The older woman in back cooking was very unfriendly to another customer who was paying and he asked about WiFi and she told him I don’t have to supply WiFi. My husband and I are not the type to complain but this was just awful. Worst $26 dollars we ever spent, couldn’t even eat the food.

Great little stop for LOTS of home cooked comfort food at reasonable prices! For that it is THE Bee's Knees!

Just went in and the owner was unfriendly, the table was dirty and the menus were covered in grime. The kitchen lights were out, so not a lot of cooking being done, and we were there at 9:15 on a Saturday. The empty parking lot should have tipped us off. We got out quick.

Huge pancakes and fun to watch your children's eyes when they see them.

Love the food here. You get huge portions for way cheaper than you can at any other breakfast place. Giant hubcap pancakes that feed the whole family. If you're used to fancy city dining this is not the place for you. It's like going in to someones home and having them cook for you. Nothing fancy, just simple country eating.

The famous pancakes that are big as a medium pizza pan make this restaurant. Food is ok , but not great. Prices are reasonable. But I got to say service was not good. I for one will probally not return too soon. Rock Springs is still my restaurant choice for breakfast near Black Canyon City.

Disgusting kitchen and Rude old lady ! It was earlier this morning when we were greeted by a rude older lady smoking a cig out front. She was being mean to our kids! The worse part was the ROACH in our hashbrowns. We all know when there is one, theres many!! Quite unsatisfied with this 4 bees cafe. Do not go unless...just do not go!
